How to choose a Myrtle Beach wedding photographer.
There are a lot of photographers on the Grand Strand, and most portfolios look good on Instagram. These are the things that actually separate them, and the questions worth asking every one of us before you sign.
Look at full weddings, not highlights
Anyone can post their ten best frames. Ask to see a whole wedding gallery, getting ready to the send-off, so you know what the dark reception and the family portraits look like too. My galleries are on this site by kind of shoot, all of them my own work.
Questions to ask
- How many hours does the package cover, and what does an extra hour cost?
- Will there be a second photographer, and for which part of the day?
- How many edited images, and how long until we get them?
- Is there a sneak peek, and how soon?
- What's the retainer, is it refundable, and when is the balance due?
- Is travel included to our venue, and is there a peak-season surcharge?
- Can we see the contract before we pay anything?
Think about film now, not later
It's common to decide on video late, after the photographer is booked. If you might want a film, ask about both at once. Booking photo and film together with me takes 10% off both at the same tier.
