What a wedding photographer costs in Myrtle Beach.
Most couples start by asking what it costs, so here are my real numbers. Wedding photography starts at $1,450 and goes to $3,900 for a full day with two photographers. Here's what each level covers and what moves the price.
My three wedding packages
- Essential, $1,450: 5 hours of coverage, 1 photographer, 300+ edited images, delivered in 6 weeks.
- Signature, $2,600: 8 hours, a second shooter for the ceremony, 550+ edited images and a 45-minute engagement session. This is the one most couples pick.
- Premier, $3,900: 10 hours from the ceremony through the send-off, 2 photographers all day, 800+ edited images and a 60-minute engagement session.
What changes the price
- Hours. An extra hour of coverage is $250.
- A second photographer, if you want one on Essential: $400.
- Peak-season Saturdays (April to June, and September to October) carry a $300 surcharge. A Friday or Sunday, or a winter date, avoids it.
- Travel is included within 30 miles of Myrtle Beach, then $1 per mile.
- The rehearsal dinner or welcome party: $550.
How booking works
A $750 non-refundable retainer holds your date, and the balance is due 14 days before the wedding. If you book photo and film together, the retainer is applied once, not twice.
Photo and film together
Booking photography and a wedding film at the same tier takes 10% off both. Essential photo and film together is $3,060 instead of $3,400, Signature is $5,400 instead of $6,000, and Premier photo with the Cinematic film is $8,190 instead of $9,100.

Questions
Quick answers.
Why do wedding photography prices vary so much in Myrtle Beach?
Mostly hours, the number of photographers, how many edited images you get and how fast they arrive. Compare packages by those, not just the total.
Is there a cheaper day to get married?
Fridays, Sundays and off-season dates avoid the $300 peak-season Saturday surcharge, and they're often easier to book.
