Murrells Inlet has the most varied backdrops on the south end of the Strand: the marsh and docks of the MarshWalk, a state park with a beach and a historic castle-like house, and one of the country's best-known sculpture gardens.
Places to shoot.
The MarshWalk
A boardwalk along the salt marsh, with docks and boats and big sunset skies over the inlet. Lovely for engagement and couples' photos.
Huntington Beach State Park
An undeveloped beach, a jetty, marsh boardwalks and Atalaya, the historic Moorish-style house. Wildlife is part of the scenery here.
Brookgreen Gardens
Live oaks, sculpture gardens and long allées, for formal portraits and garden-style engagement photos.
