Surfside calls itself the Family Beach, and it's an easy place for a family session: wide sand, plenty of beach access, and fishing piers in both Surfside and Garden City.

A classic fishing pier with shade underneath and the town's quieter beach on either side.
Garden City Pier
Just south of Surfside, with the same long views and a little more of an old-beach-town feel.
